Manifesto of the Reverse Mission Conference 2026 in Mantova, Italy. From everyone to everyone. Completing the circle of the Gospel.

We believe the Gospel has not changed.
Jesus Christ is still the same.
The Word is still alive.
The mission is still urgent.
And the Church is still sent.
But we recognize a reality we cannot ignore:
the world in which we carry the Gospel has changed.
Borders have changed.
Cities have changed.
Cultures have met.
Peoples have migrated.
Nations have become neighbors.
Today, the world is arriving at our doorstep.
That is why we do not see migration merely as a social challenge.
We also see it as a missionary opportunity.
WE BELIEVE IN A MISSION WITHOUT BORDERS
For centuries, many were sent from Christianized nations to nations regarded as mission fields.
And we are deeply grateful for all who obeyed God’s call.
But the story did not end.
The geography of Christianity has changed.
Today, men and women from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and other parts of the world are
crossing borders — not only in search of opportunity, but also carrying the faith they received.
Those who once received the Gospel can also be sent to share it.
That is why we reject a vision of mission built on centers and peripheries.
We no longer believe in a world simply divided between “those who send” and “those who
receive.”
We believe in a global Church.
A Church of all peoples, sent to all peoples.
WE CALL THIS REVERSE MISSION
Reverse Mission does not simply mean going back.
It is not a return trip.
It is not a geographical reversal.
It is not replacing one missionary with another.
Reverse Mission is recognizing that God is moving people, cultures, gifts, and communities so
that the Gospel may cross borders once again.
It is realizing that God can send a Brazilian to America.
An African to Europe.
An Asian to Latin America.
A European to Africa.
And an immigrant who arrived yesterday may be the missionary God will use to reach the city
where they now live.
From everyone to everyone.
WE ARE NOT MERELY IMMIGRANTS.
We are bearers of stories.
We carry languages.
We carry cultures.
We carry experiences.
We carry gifts.
We carry testimonies.
And above all,
we carry the Gospel.
That is why we do not want merely to build churches for immigrants.
We want to form missionary churches through immigrants.
We do not want merely communities that preserve their culture.
We want communities that serve their own culture and reach other cultures.
We do not want merely to survive in a new society.
We want to be sent within it.
WE BELIEVE THE CITY IS A MISSION FIELD
Rome. Paris. London. Boston. Lisbon. São Paulo. Mantova.
Every city has its own stories.
Its wounds.
Its questions.
Its cultures.
Its peoples.
And its opportunities for the Gospel.
That is why we will not run from change.
We will learn to see it.
We will not fear cultures.
We will learn to honor them.
We will not build walls where God has opened doors.
We will build relationships.
We will not arrive with arrogance.
We will arrive with humility.
We will not only speak.
We will listen.
We will not only teach.
We will learn.
We will not only ask people to come to us.
We will go to them.
WE WILL LEARN THE CULTURE.
Because we cannot love what we are unwilling to know.
WE WILL DEPEND ON THE HOLY SPIRIT.
Because strategy without dependence on God becomes mere activity.
WE WILL BUILD RELATIONSHIPS.
Because people are not missionary projects.
They are people created in the image of God.
WE WILL SERVE WITH PATIENCE.
Because deep transformation rarely happens quickly.
WE WILL HONOR THE NATIONS.
Because every people, language, and culture has a story that deserves to be treated with dignity.
WE REJECT THE IDEA THAT THE WEST IS ONLY A MISSION DESTINATION.
Europe is not merely a place where Christians should travel.
America is not merely a place where Christians should be sent.
They are mission fields.
But they are also places where God has already planted seeds.
There are churches.
There are disciples.
There are leaders.
There are communities.
There are immigrants.
There are families.
There are Christians from every part of the world.
That is why we do not come to take anyone’s place.
We come to cooperate.
We do not come to erase stories.
We come to add new chapters.
We do not come to control.
We come to serve.
We do not come to compete.
We come to cooperate in the Kingdom of God.
WE BELIEVE IN THE GLOBAL CHURCH
When John saw the multitude before the throne, he did not see a single culture.
He saw all peoples, tribes, languages, and nations.
That is why diversity is not a threat to the Church.
It points to the Kingdom.
The Church of the future will not be less global.
It will be more global.
And we want to prepare the Church for that future.
THEREFORE, FROM MANTOVA, WE COMMIT OURSELVES.
We commit ourselves to seeing migration with missionary eyes.
We commit ourselves to forming churches that welcome and send.
We commit ourselves to developing cross-cultural leaders.
We commit ourselves to preparing immigrants to be missionaries.
We commit ourselves to teaching our children to live between cultures.
We commit ourselves to crossing cultural boundaries with humility.
We commit ourselves to serving our cities.
We commit ourselves to cooperating across churches, countries, and denominations.
We commit ourselves to sharing resources.
We commit ourselves to learning from one another.
And above all,
we commit ourselves to obeying the Great Commission.
THE MISSION HAS NOT ENDED.
It has changed scenery.
It has changed route.
It has changed context.
But the calling remains.
Go into all the world.
That is why we will not only ask:
“Where are you from?”
We will ask:
“Where is God sending you?”
We will not only ask:
“What is your culture?”
We will ask:
“How does God want to use your culture to bless others?”
We will not only ask:
“What is your country?”
We will ask:
“What is your mission field?”
THIS IS OUR MOMENT.
The world is on the move.
People are on the move.
Cultures are on the move.
And we believe God is also on the move.
He is opening doors that did not exist before.
He is connecting peoples who were once separated.
He is raising up a new generation.
A generation that does not think only of going far away,
but of seeing the mission where it already is.
A generation that does not ask:
“Who will evangelize these people?”
But asks:
“Why has God placed these people around us?”
THEREFORE, WE RISE.
From Latin America.
From Africa.
From Asia.
From Europe.
From North America.
From every nation.
From every culture.
From every generation.
We rise as a sent Church.
Not to build our own kingdom.
But the Kingdom of God.
Not to make our own name known.
But the name of Jesus.
Not simply to preserve what we have received.
But to multiply what we have received.
THE GOSPEL HAS GONE AROUND THE WORLD.
Now we must recognize what God is doing.
The Gospel has crossed oceans.
It has crossed continents.
It has crossed cultures.
It has crossed generations.
And now we see the circle being completed.
From Jerusalem to the nations.
From the nations to the nations.
And from the nations back to the nations.
This is not the end of the mission.
It is a new chapter of the mission.

FROM MANTOVA TO THE NATIONS
We declare:
Europe is a mission field.
America is a mission field.
Africa is a mission field.
Asia is a mission field.
Latin America is a mission field.
Our city is a mission field.
Our home is a mission field.
Our generation is a mission field.
And wherever God places us,
there is our field.
REVERSE MISSION 2026
We are not merely a conference.
We are a summons.
We are not merely a movement.
We are a response.
We are not merely people crossing borders.
We are disciples being sent.
From everyone to everyone.
From every place to every place.
With all peoples.
For the glory of the one God.
The Gospel has not changed.
But the world in which we carry the Gospel has changed.
And because the world has changed,
we need to learn to do mission in new ways.
That is why today, in Mantova, Italy,
we say YES to the mission.
YES to the calling.
YES to the peoples.
YES to the cultures.
YES to the global Church.
YES to the Great Commission.
And above all,
YES TO JESUS.
May the Gospel keep crossing borders.
May the Church keep being sent.
May the peoples keep hearing.
May Christ keep being proclaimed.
And may, in our generation,
the circle of the Gospel be completed.
FROM EVERYONE TO EVERYONE.
COMPLETING THE CIRCLE OF THE GOSPEL.
